Propecia Side Effects

Propecia Side Effects

It is now recognized that Propecia, generic name Finasteride, can cause permanent sexual dysfunction among men. Previously, it was thought that Propecia side effects would go away after men stopped taking the drug. Men suffering from permanent erectile dysfunction and other Propecia side effects will likely be able to seek damages through a Propecia lawsuit.

Propecia Causes “Persistent,” Meaning Permanent, Sexual Dysfunction Side Effects

Various medical journals have now reported that the use of Propecia/Finasteride can cause the following permanent sexual side effects:
  • Complete Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
  • Sexual Ejaculation Dysfunction
  • Total Lack of Sex Drive
  • Soreness of the Testicles
For some men, these side effects continue even after they stop using Propecia. This is contrary to the Propecia warning label, which states that side effects go away after Propecia is discontinued.

A recent study focused on one young Propecia victim. This 24-year-old started taking Propecia in 1999. Within 2-5 days, he experienced soreness of the testicles, total lack of sex drive, and a complete inability to achieve an erection. He also had difficulty concentrating and felt depressed. He continued taking Propecia for one month before stopping, thinking that the side effects would be temporary. However, when he stopped taking Propecia, the side effects continued, for months, then for years. He tried Viagra, but had no success. Now, eleven years after stopping Propecia, he still suffers from ED and loss of libido. You may obtain a complete copy of this study HERE.

Most Propecia Sexual Dysfunction Side Effects Are Permanent

Contrary to the Propecia label, most men who suffer from Propecia erectile dysfunction and other sexual side effects continue to have them to some degree after they stop taking Propecia. One study found that only half of men who stopped taking Propecia experienced resolution of their sexual dysfunction side effects. Another study found that only 4% of men experiencing these side effects had them go away completely after they stopped Propecia.
